Turkey Deep Fryer ReviewsThe average person would probably tell you the only way to cook a turkey is in the oven. I know that's how my grandmother used to cook it. But I want to introduce you to another way. I made this site to help celebrate the art of the turkey deep fryer. It is something that is quite different than traditional cooking methods and it might even sound odd. I remember the first time I tried a turkey cooked this way and it was delicious. It was tender and juicy. It was done perfectly and tasted great. The idea of deep frying a bird made me think of other outcomes. I thought that it would be extremely greasy and even crunchy in some areas. That simply isn't the case. I'm going to introduce you to this cooking method and show you some of the fryers that you might want to use.
Electric Turkey Deep Fryer
This pot will hold up to a 16lb turkey. But you can also cook other things in it too. Something like a pot roast will work, chickens and any other large piece of meat. It comes with the other standard stuff like the lowering basket for the turkey, along with a thermometer. The real value here is that it cooks a really nice bird, so you can really surprise people on Thanksgiving by going this direction.

Now, the size of the bird it can take is 14lbs, so you can 't get anything too big in there, but believe me being able to cook a Thanksgiving turkey inside can be very nice. And like the previous fryer that I mentioned previously, you can cook other things in it.

Since it is outside you can hold a much bigger bird. This one is rated for 25lbs, which is a pretty big bird. And just think that it only takes about 75 minutes to cook the turkey in full. It's actually pretty amazing. And you can use this for more than just turkeys. You can cook up any large piece of meat. You can even cook up lobsters and crabs. It's really your choice what you want to do with it. This is also a stainless steel turkey deep fryer, so it is exceptionally easy to clean. The actual stand for the pot is nice a sturdy, so you don't have to worry about spills or anything along those lines. It's highly rated at Amazon from people that have bought it.

Turkey Deep Fryer AccessoriesThere are many little accessories that you're going to need for this. I think the most obvious one that you're going to need is oil. I don't think people realize how much oil it takes to cook a bird. You have to make sure that you have a lot of this item around and fill up your frying pot accordingly. The first thing to remember is turkey deep fryer oil. You will also need a thermometer. This is just standard stuff because you can't be pulling the turkey constantly out of the hot oil. You just need to stick a long thermometer into the turkey and see what temperature it is at. You will also need a raising and lowering basket. You obviously can't drop a turkey into a pot of boiling hot oil because it'll splash all over yourself. What you need is a basket. You place the turkey on the basket and slowly lower it into the oil. Other than that it is just about finding a place to actually cook it. If you buy the indoor cooker I listed above then you don't have anything to worry about. But if you're doing it outside you need to find a good place. Try to keep it away from anything that could burn. So don't do it on your deck. The best place to do it is on your drive way. Typically it is flat and won't burn. Obviously don't put it on top of oil stains and things like that. I'm going to leave you with a link for you to browse all the turkey deep fryers that you want. You can find something that catches your eye, or get something that is within your price range. Good luck and I hope you enjoy the delicious bird that you cook.
